About
Cheddar, a cashback platform designed for Gen Z and Millennials, initially focused on online rewards through its iOS and Android app. To expand its offerings, Cheddar sought to develop solutions for offline cashback capabilities, enabling users to earn rewards both in-store and online.
The Challenge
Cheddar sought to develop a Proof of Concept (POC) that extended cashback rewards beyond online channels to include in-store purchases. As part of a venture team, I played a key role across the entire project lifecycle, contributing to research, concept ideation, design, and delivery.
The Process
Held product ideation workshops with key stakeholders
Designed research artefacts such as journey maps and storyboards
Created interactive prototypes and conducted usability and concept testing
Created mid-fidelity prototypes for product solutions and features
Worked alongside the client and engineering team to deliver the POC
The Outcome
Successfully delivered the POC, which Cheddar decided to implement.
After implementation, they gained over 100,000 monthly active users since launch and established over 1,000 merchant partnerships.
